Where We Work
AC Repair & Installation in Weston, FL
AC maintenance, repair and replacement in Weston for two-story family homes, Bonaventure condos and HOA-governed communities citywide.
📞 Call for Free EstimateWeston sits on Broward's western edge, a master-planned city developed largely in the 1990s and early 2000s right up against the Everglades. Many homes are still running AC systems from that build-out era, and HOA rules shape how equipment is placed and replaced. MGM A/C Appliances serves Weston families with careful load calculations, clean installations and bilingual service, and we help you plan a replacement before an old system gives out in August.
Weston — Neighborhoods We Serve
Local AC Challenges
Weston backs directly onto the Everglades, about as far from the ocean as a Broward neighborhood gets, so there is no sea breeze to soften summer afternoons. The city is laced with lakes and canals, and the wetlands to the west keep the air heavy with moisture, which makes dehumidification as important as cooling. Second floors under tile roofs collect heat through the afternoon, and when a single system or poorly balanced ductwork serves both levels, upstairs bedrooms are usually the first to fall behind.
- Original build-era systems more than 20 years old, some still charged with phased-out R-22 refrigerant
- Upstairs bedrooms running warmer than the first floor in two-story homes
- Clogged condensate drains and tripped overflow switches in air handlers located in garages and closets
- Replacement projects that must account for HOA rules on condenser placement and screening
Housing & HVAC in Weston
Weston's housing is newer than most of South Florida, and that is exactly its challenge. The bulk of the single-family homes, many of them two-story with tile roofs and open floor plans, went up in the 1990s and early 2000s, so a large share of original AC systems are now 20 years old or more and some still use R-22 refrigerant. Larger homes often have two systems, one per floor, with air handlers in garages or interior closets and ductwork in the attic. Bonaventure, on the east side, has older condominiums and townhomes with compact equipment closets where associations control equipment placement.
Pro Tip
Before replacing an AC system in Weston, check your HOA's architectural guidelines for rules on condenser location, screening and visible line sets. Knowing them up front avoids having to relocate equipment later, and a good installer will plan the new pad and line set around those rules.
